Made specifically for the Malolo Ama, these durable covers protect your ama year round whether rigged, during transport or off-season storage. They work with Outrigger Gear Unlimited Iako covers to block the sun, sand and whatever else the environment throws at it.
Our Ama covers use velcro closures along the top side of the canoe to make them easy on/off and provide a couple of enhanced protection features. Doubling up the fabric on the top side which receives most of the sun enhances the UV protection provided by the cover. The sewn bottom side prevents sand, grit and other abrasives from getting to your ama.
We use USA made Top Notch 9 fabric, a 100% solution dyed polyester fabric with a fluorocarbon finish, resulting in a fabric that is breathable, water repellent, strong and abrasion resistant with an 8+ year lifetime.
